Sadigh Gallery
This was the original website for the Sadigh Gallery. When the gallery developed a new website around 2012, this website's domain registration was allowed to expire and the site disappeared form the web.
As someone who worked closely with this gallery I discovered that the domain was available, so I bought it with the goal of recreating as much of its original content as possible from archived pages. Unfortunately since its content consisted largely of items that were for sale at the time circa 2007-2012, there was little content that remained. Nevertheless, I did not want someone else to purchase the domain and re-purpose the site for something that had nothing in common with the original SadighGallery.net website. I preface this archive with a note regarding the origins. Aldo Sanook provided the seed money after discovering a display of 3 dimensional art using toilet tissue as the primary material. He was so impressed that he commissioned a large scale work which the artist (Kevin Donnell) first refused to accept due to lack of supplies - he could not find a large enough source of tissue. Aldo came to the rescue by connecting Kevin with CleanItSupply, who became a very important toilet tissue supplier for all future projects using this material. Experiments were tried using other CIS supplies. For example there were some early works constructed from paper towels - the large eagle with fish shown in the gallery image was one such. The witches in the Beast scene were originally paper napkins. But the most popular works and the ones that generated the revenue needed to seed the gallery were the originals made from toilet tissue. A true but provocative story about the birth of this fine showcase.
